Since November 2007 also the new generation of the Becomix homogenizer technology is available in the Institute Dr. Schrader Beratungslabor. With the 15 l-device, the scale-up from laboratory to production is more precise. The innovative DUO-homogenizer can be used for the development of e. g. shear sensitive products.

New Chemical Act ? Update
At the end of the year 2005 the European Parliament finished the first reading on the new chemical act (REACH). As a consequence the requirements of data for the registration of potential hazard chemicals (e.g. cosmetic ingredients) with an annual tonnage of 1-10 have been enlarged, if the substances are used in products for private or commercial consumer goods (e.g. hairdresser merchandises). Now, additional tests for assessing biodegradability and the uptake-paths for acute toxicity are required.
